The most common problem is that the glue cannot solidify after the river table is filled with glue. There are several reasons why the crystal glue cannot solidify:
1. Epoxy AB glue is not strictly formulated according to the weight ratio. Many people ignore that the ratio of A/B glue is a weight ratio, not a volume ratio. The density of AB glue is different, so the weight is not equal under equal volume.
2. The epoxy AB glue is not fully mixed. If the mixed glue is not fully mixed, you will see obvious white silk inside when you pull up the glue with a stick. This white silk is a sign that the A/B glue is not completely mixed.
3. The humidity in the air is too high or the glue is damp. When storing the glue and making the river table, try to keep the air dry to avoid the glue from deteriorating.
Another common problem is the presence of bubbles in the glue. There are several phenomena and solutions for bubbles:
1. When mixing ab glue, stirring too hard will cause a lot of air to enter the middle or bottom of the glue and cannot be discharged naturally. Therefore, try to avoid excessive force when stirring. If you use a blender to stir, be careful not to use too fast a speed. Try not to change the direction of stirring.
2. There are many small bubbles in the glue after stirring. This phenomenon is normal. Just let the glue stand for 15-20 minutes and the bubbles will automatically float up. You can use an industrial blower or flamethrower to eliminate the surface bubbles.
3. After the glue is poured, bubbles appear inside the glue during the curing process. There are two aspects to this situation. One is that the glue will react and generate heat during the curing process, which causes bubbles in the glue. The other is that the wood is not sealed well before the glue is poured, and there are pores in the wood, so air enters the glue from the wood. In both cases, you only need to use a toothpick or other object to insert into the glue to eliminate the bubbles before the glue is completely cured.
